Registration Closes:

Move beyond coding transactions and learn how SACS data drives reporting, compliance, and decision-making.

While understanding the fundamentals of Standardized Account Code Structures (SACS) is essential, school business professionals also need to understand how SACS data is used to support financial reporting, compliance requirements, and strategic decision-making. This workshop builds on the concepts introduced in Standardized Account Code Structures: Basics and explores the broader applications of SACS information across school district operations.

Participants will examine how everyday coding decisions impact complex reporting and compliance activities, including indirect cost calculations, maintenance of effort requirements, program cost accounting, and government-wide financial reporting. You’ll also review recent and upcoming accounting standards changes, explore key features of SACS reporting tools, and learn strategies for presenting financial information in a meaningful way. Walk away with a deeper understanding of how to leverage SACS data to support analysis, compliance, and informed decision-making.
