New and experienced payroll clerks and supervisors, as well as business and human resources staff with a need to better understand the payroll process.

Differentiate between the Education Codes and Government Codes for certificated and classified classifications
Calculate salary computations for late start employees, early terminations, employees on leave, worker’s compensation, and overtime
Comply with retirement reporting requirements for CalPERS and CalSTRS
Produce accurate paychecks that comply with both the federal and state regulatory agencies
