Build a strong foundation in school accounting with California’s Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS).
SACS is the foundation of school district financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting, yet its structure can feel overwhelming for those new to school business or anyone looking to refresh their knowledge. Understanding how the components of SACS work together is essential for ensuring accurate financial reporting, avoiding coding errors, and supporting sound fiscal management.
This workshop provides a practical introduction to SACS and lays the groundwork for more advanced learning. Participants will explore the key components of the coding structure, learn how to code real-world transactions, identify common errors, and review recent changes to the California School Accounting Manual.
