SPURR School Project For Utility Rate Reduction
The School Project for Utility Rate Reduction (SPURR), is a Joint Powers Authority consisting of over 300 member K-12 districts, COEs, and Community College Districts.
Formed in 1989, we aggregate purchasing power and expertise for procurement of solar power and energy storage, LED lighting and energy conservation, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, telecommunications and networking, natural gas, electricity, and utility expense management.
We streamline procurement, saving time and money, for hundreds of public agencies across the state, both SPURR members and others such as cities and counties.
