Shape CASBO’s priorities for the year ahead as a member of our Associate Member Committee.

Committee service is a rewarding way to give back to the school business industry while growing your professional network and gaining valuable leadership experience.

Associate Member positions are open to all current Associate Members who complete an application by the application deadline. Appointees are selected by CASBO’s Executive Committee and start their term of service at the end of Annual Conference each year. All leadership terms are held for a period of three (3) years, unless otherwise noted.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • A strong desire to serve California schools and contribute to the success of CASBO by understanding and supporting its mission.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities faced by K-12 school business leaders in California.
  • Proven experience and knowledge relevant to the needs of school business leaders, such as finance, technology, facilities management, or legal compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with others, fostering a spirit of teamwork and achieving collective goals.
  • Willingness to dedicate time and effort to attending committee meetings, participating in projects and initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of the committee.
  • Be an Associate Member.

Role of a Committee Member:

  • Advocate for the interests and concerns of Associate Members within the CASBO community.
  • Work alongside TK-14 school business leaders and supporting businesses to identify and address key issues impacting California school business.
  • Stay informed about CASBO’s direction, pending legislation, and emerging issues affecting school business.
  • Share knowledge and expertise to educate and assist TK-14 school leaders in solving problems and finding effective solutions.
  • Actively participate in committee activities and professional development opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth.
