Thank You to Our 2021 Exhibitors!

When it comes to the California K-12 education marketplace, the California School Business Expo at the CASBO Annual Conference tops all others.

The Expo is the largest trade show of its kind in the state, and this year, we took our largest single gathering of California school business officials to the online marketplace!

But we’ll be back IN PERSON in 2022 in Sacramento! Watch your inbox and this page to learn when 2022 Expo sales begin!

HOW OUR SELECTION PROCESS WORKS

Step 1: Beginning in approximately May of each year, members of CASBO’s 15 professional councils independently solicit presentation proposals.

Step 2: Around late July this year, we will send out a Request for Proposals to solicit additional presentations from our partners and associate members. Our RFP announcement includes our Workshop Proposal Requirements, Instructions and Workshop Proposal Form 5a, which must be completed and submitted. To participate in the selection process at this stage, you must at minimum be a current CASBO associate member.

Step 3: In approximately August of each year, CASBO’s professional councils review all proposals submitted pursuant to Steps 1 & 2 above and make their selections.

Step 4: In approximately October of each year, if we determine that more presentations are needed for our conference lineup, we send out an “open call” RFP to solicit additional workshop presentations. This RFP announcement includes our Open Call Workshop Proposal Requirements, Instructions and Workshop Proposal Form 5, which must be completed and submitted. To participate in the selection process at this stage, you must be a current CASBO member of any type.

Step 5: In approximately January of each year, CASBO’s Annual Conference Committee reviews all open-call proposals submitted pursuant to Step 4 above and makes its selections.

PROPOSAL DEADLINES AND OTHER DUE DATES*
  • Associate member workshop proposals usually are due late summer each year.
  • Open-call workshop proposals usually are due by December 30 each year.
  • If your workshop proposal is accepted, final speaker confirmation usually is due by late January each year, with final presentation materials due mid-March.

*Dates are subject to change.

PROPOSAL CONTENT

Proposed presentation content must be unbiased, informational and non-sales oriented. Initial proposals can be general and conceptual in nature. As the due date for final presentation materials nears, content can be further developed. For examples of the types of workshop content accepted, view our 2021 Program Guide.
