CASBO is now accepting applications for state leadership positions on its 2024-25 Board of Directors.

The following positions are currently open: Vice President, Southern Section State Director, and Eastern Section State Director.

CASBO members who are interested in giving back to their profession, improving their leadership skills, and expanding their network are encouraged to apply. Candidates should review Section 2005 of the CASBO Manual of Procedures to understand the role and responsibilities of the Board of Directors before applying.

All applicants must submit their application no later than Friday, October 13, 2023.

Review & Election Process

Section leaders validate the eligibility of applicants for the position of State Director. Section validation is not required for applicants for other board positions, such as Vice President.

The Nominations & Elections Committee reviews each eligible application and submits them to the Board of Directors.

If there is only one applicant for a board position, the Board of Directors votes to ratify the applicant in an uncontested election.

If there is more than one applicant, CASBO holds a public election in the first two weeks of December. All active CASBO members are eligible to vote. Please note, campaigning is not allowed by candidates or their supporters in public elections.
