In this workshop, we’ll present a deep dive into K-12 school facilities funding, financing, and construction with a focus on best practices in leadership of a facilities program and what CBOs and district leaders need to know. We’ll review the available funding sources for school facilities with an emphasis on the big three: local bonds, state funding, and developer fees and mitigation agreements. We’ll discuss construction delivery methods and provide you with insider tips on how to design a turnkey program. We’ll also present an overview and update on facilities hot topics, as well as review legal and legislative challenges.
