In this workshop, we’ll present an introduction to and overview of school facilities and long-range facility master planning as a tool to solve several district-wide issues. We’ll review best practices in long-range facilities master planning, including demographics, classroom capacity, and funding and financing; and needs assessments, including safety and security and technology needs. We’ll also discuss architectural and education design, including best practices for the selection and management of the parties involved in the design process.
Designed for: Chief business officials and any school district leaders who need either a refresher in or a comprehensive understanding of best practices and fundamentals of managing a facility program.
