This workshop will provide you with an overall understanding of child nutrition operations and program management. The workshop will focus on the general requirements necessary to successfully operate a child nutrition program, including the Universal Meal Program. You’ll learn how school nutrition programs are regulated on both the federal and state levels; proper financial management, including acceptable use of cafeteria funds; required procurement practices; nutritional requirements; menu planning; and required professional development needs to better manage and support any nutrition program.
