If you have an idea for an educational topic that you know will engage members and non-members alike, enhance their professional development and add value to our Annual Conference, then we want to hear from you!
How Our Selection Process Works
Step 1: Beginning in approximately May of each year, members of CASBO's 15 professional councils independently solicit presentation proposals.
Step 2: In approximately May of each year, we send out a Request for Proposals to solicit additional presentations from our associate members. Our RFP announcement includes our Workshop Proposal Requirements and Instructions and Workshop Proposal Form 5a which must be completed and submitted. To participate in the selection process at this stage, you must be a current CASBO associate member.
Step 3: In approximately August of each year, CASBO's professional councils review all proposals submitted pursuant to Steps 1 & 2 above and make their selections.
Step 4: In approximately October of each year, if we determine that more presentations are needed for our conference lineup, we send out an "open call" RFP to solicit additional workshop presentations, as well as presentations for our popular Biz Table Talks. This RFP announcement includes our Open Call Workshop and Biz Table Talk Proposal Requirements and Instructions and Workshop Proposal Form 5 and Biz Table Talks Proposal Form 5b which must be completed and submitted. To participate in the selection process at this stage, you must be a current CASBO member of any type.
Step 5: In approximately January of each year, CASBO's Annual Conference Committee reviews all open-call proposals submitted pursuant to Step 4 above and makes its selections.
Proposal Deadlines and Other Due Dates*
Associate member workshop proposals usually are due by June 30 each year.
Open-call workshop and/or Biz Table Talk proposals usually are due by December 30 each year.
If your workshop or Biz Table Talk proposal is accepted, final speaker confirmation usually is due by January 30 each year with final presentation materials usually due in mid-March.

Proposed presentation content must be unbiased, informational and non-sales oriented. Initial proposals can be general and conceptual in nature. As the due date for final presentation materials nears, content can be further developed.
