Last night, September 30, 2020, Governor Newsom took final action on the remaining legislative proposals on his desk. The bills signed into law will take effect on January 1, 2021, unless the bill notes otherwise.

Governor Newsom Issues Executive Order on the 2020-21 Accountability Plan

Yesterday evening, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-56-20, which extends the deadline to submit the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the budget overview for parents until December 15, 2020, on the following conditions:
