Our inaugural event is with a recognized driver of innovation and strategy during adversity. As the former president and chief executive officer for Boeing Commercial Airplanes; Boeing Information, Space and Defense Systems; and The Ford Motor Company, Alan Mulally helped drive transformation and innovation with skilled and motivated teams, all through critical and challenging times facing the companies.

Under Mulally's leadership, both companies have achieved success as the #1 brand in their respective industries. From 2006 to 2014, he led Ford's transformation into one of the world's leading automobile companies and the #1 automobile brand in the U.S.

Mulally joined Ford to help the company recover after suffering a $12.7 billion loss and a significant degradation in its stock value. He steered the company’s return to profitability, and Ford was the only American car manufacturer to not accept a bailout from the U.S. government during the Great Recession.

Prior to joining Ford, Mulally served The Boeing Company for 37 years, leading through the September 11 terrorist attacks and the restructuring that followed. He guided the transformation of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Boeing Information and Defense Systems to the #1 commercial airplane company and aerospace company in the world.

Throughout his career, Mulally has been recognized for his leadership. He has received top honors, among them being named #3 on FORTUNE's "World's Greatest Leaders" list, one of the 30 "World's Best CEOs" by Barrons' magazine, one of "The World's Most Influential People" by TIME magazine and "Chief Executive of the Year" by Chief Executive magazine.
